Chugiak's very own 5k run/walk is on Saturday, June 28th @9:00am. The Race to the Rescue will begin at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (18444 Old Glenn), head south up the bike trail past Chugiak Fire and Rescue Station 31, turn around at the United Methodist Church of Chugiak, and finish back where you started -- a perfect 5k. Cost is $25/person or $75/family. It's open to all ages and levels of fitness but please keep the pets at home. Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is proud to sponsor this event, where all proceeds will go to the Chugiak Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, helping to ensure a safe community for each of us.
